We dropped the hook for the night in the quiet, calm, protected anchorage of Port Jefferson. 

After the amazing experience of sailing up the East River and through Hell Gate into Long Island Sound, we find ourselves to be the only private vessel out here. 

Even commercial traffic is at a minimum! It feels eerie and apocalyptic.
