Glazed Carrots
Spice up the simple carrot and make it delicious, sweet and juicy – a versatile addition to many a dish.

  • 6 large carrots
  • 1-2 cups chicken stock
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp orange juice (optional)


  • Cut carrots trying to keep them a similar size so that they can cook evenly.
  • Cover the carrots with the stock and cook over medium heat until the carrots are tender. 
  • Strain the carrots, put them back into the pot and add a tablespoon of butter to the pot. Sprinkle light brown sugar over the carrots (you can also add a tablespoon of orange juice at this stage). Once the butter and sugar have melted mix the carrots gently to coat.
